The Chicago Sun Times makes love to Christmas in Chicago saying it skewers the season and year, “but with heart.” Read the rest of the story.
Christmas in Chicago is back! The comedic, musical year-in-review returns to the Chicago Dramatists stage with a sardonic and irreverent look at 2012. Here’s what some media had to say about last year’s show:
“The writing is brilliant for this review. David Himmel and Patrick Kenney pull out the stops and could teach the writers of SNL quite a bit about what is funny.” - Chicago Theater Beat
“The Fine Print Theatre Company’s yuletide year-in-review revue [does] an excellent job of capturing the zeitgeist.” - Chicago Reader

“Several sketches in the Fine Print Theatre Company’s yuletide year-in-review revue do an excellent job of capturing the zeitgeist.” – Chicago Reader
“Heather Bodie delivers a great performance, and Amber Gerencher radiates on stage the whole 75 minutes, breathing life into all of her roles. Tommy Beardmore is at his best when he seems to go off-book, finding room to be both cheeky and endearing to the audience.” – Centerstage

Meet The Fine Print Theatre Company
The Fine Print Theatre Company produces new plays about today’s social and political climate. These plays tell the story of people; the lives of individuals shaped by the events of the headlines. Written, produced and performed by members of our Midwestern community, plays at The Fine Print strive not only to entertain, but to educate and enlighten. The Number 10 Production’s Phil Winkelman serves on the board of directors for this company.
The Fine Print’s inaugural production, At Ease tells the story of Kurt, an American soldier returning from Afghanistan. As his friend and fellow soldier, Ben, lay dying, he handed Kurt an envelope and revealed a secret, “There’s a letter for Arthur, my husband.” But now at home, Kurt can barely face his own strained relationship with his wife Claire, let alone deliver the terrible news to Arthur. Besides, Ben doesn’t really seem to be gone; his ghost has followed Kurt home.
At Ease opens September 9th at the Viaduct Theater, 3111 N. Western Avenue, Chicago.
